D.M.M.Thilini Dissanayaka (National Dip. In Teaching English)

Thilini Dissanayaka is a teacher of English who teaches in a well-known national school in Southern Province.

She had got her primary and early secondary education from Deniyaya Central College and was a bright star in the English society of the school. After winning several Competitions held in school, provincial and National level in English and facing GCE (O/L) successfully, she started her Advanced Level in Science stream in Sujatha Balika Vidyalaya, Matara. There, she could pass the exam with requirements to enter a University. But her eager to learn and teach what she had got through her education in English as a second language; she decided not to enter a university but to start her career as teacher of English. Hence, she was selected to the Pasdunrata National College of Education after facing an exam, out of hundreds of students all over the country.

She was one of the brightest student teachers in PNCOE and faced all the teaching exams successfully. Finally she decided to serve her first school as a gratitude to it and selected Deniyaya Central College as her first school to teach.

From that onward she has tought thousands of students to uplift their English language knowledge through government service and privet education too. Her utmost intention is to help needy children to reach their targets in learning English through interesting teaching and learning process.
